We extend a warm welcome to the website of the Department of Transport at Széchenyi István University. The Department of Transport has its origins in three departments, which were established in 1993. Since that time, it has been the home of public transport, transport planning and modelling, railway, traffic safety and waterborne transport.

The 16 staff members of the department are active participants of the Hungarian transport sector in education, science and practice.

The department was the first in Hungary to recognise the importance and power of modelling in transportation and has been the leading group in this field in Hungary since 2003.
